Superior Forge & Steel Corporation is currently hiring Skilled Maintenance Personnel for our operation in Lima, Ohio. Maintenance employees are responsible for maintaining the facility and equipment.
Competitive: Wage starting at $25/hr up to $38/hr based on training and experience, benefit/insurance package, 8 paid holidays, 401K, Paid Time Off (PTO), Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, and this position is also eligible for our Production Incentive Program.
Responsibilities:
- Repairing machinery and equipment; can involve reading/interpreting blueprints, drawings and sketches, dismantling, cleaning, repairing, lubricating, and replacing parts, adjusting machines and equipment, performing electrical repairs (based on discipline)
- Part fabrication
- Welding; shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, oxy-fuel welding, brazing, and cutting
- General plant maintenance
- Other maintenance work as needed
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
- Must be capable of performing physical tasks
- Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous mechanical or construction experience required
- Welding skills a plus
- Skilled Trades training program a must
- Basic math skills required
- Attention to detail
- Basic problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
Classification: Hourly
