Job Summary: Trepan Operator
The Trepan Operator is a member of our Machine Department responsible for boring rolls to remove centerline indications and/or as part of specified heat treatment. Trepan Operators start at $22.20/hr with $.50 increases every 6 months for the first 24 months of employment or until established top pay has been achieved. Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS (Paid in increments throughout the first year of continued employment), and this position is eligible for the Production Incentive Program.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Timely, accurate and neat documentation of daily production.
- Housekeeping in department work areas and company living areas.
- Preventative maintenance on 60 and 80 inch trepan lathes.
- Maintaining all equipment needed for boring operation.
- Timely reporting of equipment problems and issues.
- Reporting all deviations from production specifications.
- Reviewing and verifying work assignments.
- Verification of sonic inspection and bore size.
- Setting up and operating trepan lathes.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous machining experience or technical training in machining or machining related skills preferred, but not required.
- Strong mathematical skills (fractions, decimals, conversions and measurement)
- Proficient in the interpretation and utilization of blueprints and sketches
- Accuracy
- Attention to detail
- Lift 60 – 80 lbs
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous machining experience or technical training in machining or machining related skills preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions:
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
- Exposed to seasonal temperature changes
- Manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and vibration
