We are currently seeking a Chemical Handler to work at our Old Hickory, TN location. The Chemical Handler is responsible for daily production, unloading raw materials, and completing paperwork, while maintaining a safe operation.
This is a full-time, day-shift position 6 a.m. - 4 p.m., working Monday through Friday. Additional hours may be required.
Responsibilities include :
- Ensure all products are properly inspected, labeled, stored, and prepared for shipment.
- Stage, load, and unload containers including; pails, drums, and totes.
- Forklift operation.
- Transfer products into and out of pails, drums, and totes utilizing transfer pumps and hoses.
- Read detailed paperwork instructions regarding chemical amounts and blending instructions.
- Pull product samples and submit to the Lab for quality control.
- Label containers properly and secure to closure specifications.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required in accordance with the potential hazard and potential for exposure.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, clean operation of equipment and work area.
- Must be able to lift and / or move 55 lbs.
- May cross train in various positions including shipping / receiving, handling of bulk product, inventory control, chemical packaging, fiberglass handling, tote cleaning, preventative plant maintenance, and / or yard truck spotting.
