Job Description
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for handling daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing products. This role ensures inventory accuracy, organizes stock, and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Stocking
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Label and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage.
Inventory Management
- Conduct regular inventory counts and update records.
- Track stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of inventory transactions.
Order Fulfillment & Shipping
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Process shipping labels and ensure timely dispatch.
- Verify outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness.
Warehouse Organization & Safety
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Follow company safety procedures and report any hazards or damages.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (if certified).
Administrative Support
- Maintain records of receipts, shipments, and inventory movements.
- Assist with cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or inventory management experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory software).
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (typically up to 50 lbs.).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Forklift certification (preferred but not required).
