Welcome to Superior Livestock! We are hiring a Livestock Caretaker and Equipment Operator to join our team in Joice, Iowa (about 85 miles southwest of Rochester, MN). In this role you will be caring for livestock, operating machinery, and maintaining the farm’s equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the farm's agricultural and livestock activities.

Our operations span across livestock care, including cattle, and a thriving row crop operation growing corn, soybeans, hay, and straw. We offer competitive hourly compensation of $15 - $23 depending on experience, health benefits, company vehicle, and housing availability to the right person.
What you will be doing:
Operate machinery to feed and water animals according to established schedules.
Clean and disinfect animal equipment, including calf bottles, buckets, and milk tanks.
Observe animals for signs of injury, illness, or disease and provide basic treatment; contact a veterinarian for more advanced care when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of animal health, including weight, physical condition, diet, feeding schedule, and medications.
Unload and store feed and supplies efficiently.
Operate tractors, semi-trucks, and skid loaders to support various farm operations.
Clean and organize livestock living areas such as pens, calf huts, and yards.
Inspect and fuel vehicles and machinery before starting the shift.
Perform routine maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
Handle other farm-related duties as assigned.
