What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Fab Shop Helper position at Superior Metal Fabricators, Inc.?
Superior Metal Fabricators is hiring a reliable Shop Helper for immediate start. This position will start as a temporary job lasting through June with potential to convert to a permanent employee.
Duties will include:
- Working on your feet in an industrial environment
- Assisting Metal Fabricators
- Cleaning the shop floor and equipment
- Cleaning the shop bathroom and kitchen
- Making deliveries/pick-ups to customers/suppliers
We will provide paid training on-site as part of your normal daily duties.
Experience working in an industrial shop environment is preferred. Applicants must have a valid VA driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation. Applicants must have a clean-cut appearance as this is a customer-facing position.
Job details:
- Hours are 7am - 5pm Monday- Friday with a 30 minute lunch and two 15 minute breaks. We'll also require Saturdays from 7am-3:30pm.
- All hours over 40 will be paid at 1.5 times your hourly rate.
- Mobile phones are not allowed on the shop floor and are only to be used during designated breaks.
