Summary: Responsible for developing customer relationships and growth through prospecting, community engagement, and delivering superior customer service. Meets with personal and business customers to uncover banking needs. Originates consumer loans, including Home Equity, auto, and recreational vehicle loans. Serves as a representative of the Bank to community members, including community financial education and CRA activities.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop customer relationships
- Drives branch growth through outbound prospecting and community engagement.
- Conducts customer needs analysis to uncover needs for personal and business deposit accounts, loans, trust services, electronic banking services, and other ancillary products.
- Make product recommendations to satisfy customer needs.
- Demonstrate, onboard, and support customers with e-banking products (online banking, ACH, wires, bill pay, mobile deposit, mobile banking, personal finance, remote deposit capture, etc.).
- Assist customers with self-service devices in-person or remotely.
- Originate consumer loans, including vehicle loans, personal loans, and home equity loans.
- Manage existing loan portfolio, including service and collections.
- Obtain, compile, and analyze financial, credit, and collateral information to support loan decisions.
- Open and services personal and business deposit accounts and ancillary products/services associated with deposit accounts.
- Financial education & community outreach
- Facilitate financial literacy-focused public seminars, perform CRA-related activities, and serve as a member of service organizations.
- Maintain compliance with BSA, CIP, and Fair Lending. Review and interpret business account documentation (Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws and meeting minutes, etc.) for compliance with Beneficial Ownership laws and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in finance field preferred or equivalent work experience
- Successful completion of consumer lending training program preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in a banking and/or lending environment
- NMLS Certification (may be obtained after hire)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
