Logistics Specialist

Superior Plus Propane has a career opportunity for a Logistics Specialist who would become responsible for the efficient distribution of liquid products within their region. This includes maintaining systems data, routing and supporting delivery drivers, maintaining effective system forecasting, and reporting distribution metrics to superiors. As a Logistics Specialist, you will work closely with field operations to improve efficiency with deliveries, as well as resource and demand planning. Work with field operations and the Center of Excellence to ensure customer data integrity, proper customer set up and forecasting factor accuracy. Determine the most efficient delivery methods and schedules to meet customer needs. Build base routes for drivers in centrally supported locations while adhering to the distribution standard operating procedures. Make recommendations to field operations regarding drivers and trucks needed weekly, to maximize fill rates, reduce low fuels and Out of Gas (OOGs), and increase efficiencies Provide reporting on previous day’s routes to assist field operations with adherence to the process, improving driver efficiency, ultimately resulting in improved customer experience. Maintain records and databases as appropriate to facilitate continuous improvement.
