Reporting to the Learning and Development (L&D) Manager, the Senior Learning & Development Specialist is a strategic leader responsible for designing and implementing innovative training programs that align with organizational goals. The Senior L&D Specialist will lead complex projects, conduct needs assessments and utilize data-driven insights to enhance training effectiveness. Additionally, this position requires strong collaboration with senior leadership and mentoring junior L&D staff to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

What you’ll do:
• Vendor Relationship Management: Establishes and nurtures strong vendor relationships, ensuring content aligns with organizational goals and standards.
• Content Curation: Leads the identification and evaluation of relevant third-party content for organizational use.
• Quality Assurance: Oversees the review process for accuracy, compliance, and relevance of content.
• Stakeholder Communication: Acts as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors, ensuring feedback and needs are effectively addressed.
• Instructional Design: Leads the creation of engaging, learner-focused training programs tailored to specific organizational needs.
• Project Management: Oversees training development projects from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and goals.
• Content Development: Develops advanced multimedia content using a variety of tools and technologies.
• Needs Analysis: Conducts comprehensive assessments to identify training gaps and drives the creation of solutions to address these.
• Data Management & Reporting: Oversees training data management, ensuring accurate records for professional development and field-based training.
• Analytical Thinking: Interprets complex training data to evaluate impact, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations for improvement.
• Compliance Monitoring: in partnership with SME, ensures all field-based training programs meet regulatory and industry standards.
• LMS Proficiency: Optimizes LMS usage for efficient tracking, reporting, and accessibility of training records across the organization.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify skills gaps and develop training strategies aligned with business goals.
• Lead the design and implementation of company-wide training initiatives, including advanced and customized programs.
• Serve as a mentor to junior L&D staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional growth.
• Develop and integrate innovative learning technologies and methods to enhance engagement.
• Measure the effectiveness of training programs by analyzing ROI and impact on organizational performance.
• Present training insights, progress, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external vendors for content development and delivery.
• Other duties as assigned.
What you bring:
• 5 years of progressive experience in Learning and Development.
• Proven expertise in instructional design, adult learning theories, and learning technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a national team as well as independently, possessing a high degree of initiative, energy, common sense, and logical thinking.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Experience in measuring training ROI and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Certifications in adult education, project management (e.g., PMP), or related education is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
