Superior Production LLC, a manufacturer of metal stampings, is part of a large privately owned holding company involved in various metal manufacturer process throughout the continental US. We provide Stamping and Machine services throughout the Midwest for a variety of customers.
With two plants located in Columbus, Ohio we service the automotive, agriculture, and heavy truck industries.
We are currently seeking a Commercial Sales Administrator position to join our team. This position will report directly to the Director of Commercial Operations. The responsibilities of the Commercial Operations department will include assisting with meeting sales objectives, facilitating communication both internally and externally along with being contributing to marketing strategies.
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail with internal and external requirements, analytical abilities using advanced Excel functionality, good interpersonal skills to gather and communicate information to various groups.
This entry-level position is a great opportunity for a recent college graduate with an interest in sales, marketing, and working in the manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing
- Assists with sales and marketing initiatives to include but are not limited to calls, emails flyers, and brochures.
- Assists in maintaining capacity, profit, sales, and quote reports.
Commercial Sales Support
- Creates initial draft of the Superior Production LLC quotation processes including cost breakdown in response to an RFQ (Request for Quotation).
Evaluate all OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and Aftermarket RFQ to ensure all relevant information is present prior to submission to Engineering and Quality for further review.
- Monitors the status of RFQ by updating the quotation log and the ‘active’ job list.
- Customer engagement/communications will include purchase orders, sales orders, claims processing, vendor RFQ submission, data acquisition/review
- Assists the Director of Commercial Operations with the organization of kick-off meetings to share awarded job information with internal departments.
- Monitor the customer releases compare to contract commitments to include accurate part numbers, part descriptions, pricing related to quotations and sales order quantities reflect the customer’s release schedule/project timeline
- Creation job/traveler numbers, material master, item masters, and input part revisions into M2M (Made2Manage). Creates BOM (Bill of Material) and routings.
- This position will assist with developing MRP (Material Requirement Planning) module in M2M for continuous improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong mathematical skills are necessary.
- Computer skills – MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Inventory computer systems
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with inventory control would be ideal.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; 1 to 4 years of experience in a customer service position. Some manufacturing experience is a plus.
Language Skills
Functional ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common manufacturing terms in English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present/consolidate information for presentation to customers both internal and external.
Computer Skills
Proficient with MS Office, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and Outlook. Some ERP experience with systems such as Oracle, SAP, or other software-driven manufacturing systems. Ability to learn new systems independently, extract data from the ERP system for analysis and review. The ability to manipulate data for analysis and critical path decisions.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques, sampling theory.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions related to packaging, labeling, GD&T quality requirements, material tolerance with the ability to consolidate and forward to the engineering department
