Sign Designer (2 years design experience REQUIRED)

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sign Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in architectural sign design and will be responsible for leading design projects from concept to completion. This role requires a keen eye for detail, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Experience in Structural Engineering is a plus and would increase salary.

Duties

• Lead the design process for various clients, ranging from national branding to unique custom signs.
• Create detailed and accurate design packages using CorelDRAW.
• Develop logos, layouts, and renderings for signs that align with client objectives and brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with design team to conceptualize and execute design strategies.
• Work with Sales and Project Managers as the package moves through revisions, approvals, permitting, production, and installation.
• Coordinate with the Manufacturing & Install department on how best to construct, problem-solve, and see the project through to completion.
• Research location specific code & prepare city permit packages with plot plans, vicinity maps, setbacks, and elevations.
• Creating detailed plans for production of the signs, including cross sections, structural framing, attachment hardware, isometric views, material schedules, and installation plans.
• Creating Electrical layouts, including LED layouts, wiring diagrams, and UL information for illuminated signs.
• Accurately implementing redlines, information from site visits, & engineering.
• Designing master sign programs & comprehensive packages to integrate branding on wall signs, wayfinding, drive thru elements, monuments, and pylon signs into an effective experience.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices into design work.

Skills Required

• Proficiency in CorelDRAW is essential.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and SolidWorksis a plus.
• Strong graphic design skills with experience in signage, experiential, environmental, architectural, or industrial design.
• Ability to readarchitectural drawings, construction plans, and engineering.
• Experience with photo editing to enhance overall design quality.
• Typography, color theory and a strong grasp of design concepts.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas clearly.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a creative team collaborative environment.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
