Chief Maintenance Engineer (HVAC)

Location: Valdosta, GA
Salary: $68,000 - $84,000 per year (Based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 (paid after the first 90 days)

Overview: Seeking a Chief Maintenance Engineer (CME) to manage facility maintenance and oversee maintenance staff for a leading commercial facility maintenance provider.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee maintenance contracts, ensuring facilities are well-maintained and operational.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure compliance with all work tasks.
• Manage workload priorities and assign tasks to staff.
• Handle emergency situations and respond to after-hours calls.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in CMMS.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain effective working relationships.

Requirements:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of six years’ maintenance and/or commercial experience.
• Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance management systems.
• Broad knowledge of various skilled trades.
• Ability to read blueprints and as-built drawings.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and test equipment.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required.
• Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team player.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
