Jr. Electrical Estimator - Job Description
The Jr. Electrical Estimator will preferably have a minimal electrical field background and must be able to participate in "Take-offs" [counting of fixtures and devices] on electrical construction projects as required.
Responsibilities
- Assist and coordinates the preparation of full cost estimates based on plans for a variety of small projects in preparation of full cost estimates.
- Must interpret documentation, specifications and design drawings to define scope / contents of the estimates.
- Assist review / analyze bid packages from General Contractors.
- Responsible for maintaining working files and supporting documentation for estimating figures including current, accurate information on prices from vendors through exclusive contact, pre-existing price lists, etc.
- Assist senior estimator in the final bid process.
