What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Superior Support Professionals?
I am looking for a caring and flexible support professional to work with my young adult son. It requires travel to various community settings, according to his individual goals. I offer a competitive pay rate. It's a part-time position requiring morning/afternoon and weekday hours, with the possibility of working up to 30 hours weekly. Hours can be flexible.
**Please note that this position does require significant travel within each shift.**
Responsibilities
- Help client with community networking goals
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion as client exercises/volunteers in the community
- Provide job coaching as needed
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Skills
- Proven experience as a special needs caregiver
- Enjoys working with this population
- Willingness to obtain applicable training (first aid/ CPR, blood-borne pathogens, & NCI) at no cost to applicant
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety and HIPPA standards
