Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer to join our growing team. As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for managing and supporting the IT systems of our 120 clients, primarily small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across various industries. In this role, you’ll act as a trusted IT consultant, working closely with clients and internal teams to consult, design, set up, and maintain technology systems of all sizes and complexities.
You’ll also be the go-to expert for solving tough technical issues and an escalation point for our Helpdesk and NOC (Network Operations Center), along with Account Executives when they need extra support. As the main point of contact for assigned clients, you’ll ensure they’re happy with our services, that we meet our agreements, and that our team operates smoothly and efficiently.
Core Responsibilities:
- Commitment to Learning and Mentorship: Stay updated on emerging technologies, share insights, and foster professional growth within the team.
- Lead the design, development, installation, and configuration of IT infrastructure, including computers, servers, and networks.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular reviews and upkeep of client IT systems, covering servers, backups, storage, virtualization, and networks, adhering to established standards.
- Fully own client technical environments, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their network and server infrastructure to provide dependable support.
- Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting, efficiently addressing and resolving network and infrastructure issues.
- Expertise in Microsoft Applications: Manage and support core Microsoft solutions such as Windows Server/Desktop, O365, SQL, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Guide clients on data backup, business continuity, disaster recovery, and network security solutions, ensuring robust IT resilience.
- Configure and maintain networking components such as WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and other peripherals.
- Set priorities and deadlines for key tasks and projects to optimize client network performance.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to provide insights into Strategic Business Reviews.

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Associate degree in a relevant field or at least 4 years of experience in IT infrastructure and service delivery or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft core business applications, including but not limited to, Windows Server 2019/Desktop, O365, M365, SQL, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Expertise in deploying Multi-Factor Authentication tools like DUO and Google Authenticator.
- Proven ability to configure and maintain servers, firewalls, switches, backups, wireless networks, and other IT infrastructure devices.
- Familiarity with hardware and software from vendors such as HP, Dell, Datto, ArcServe, Cisco, Meraki, VMware, Sentinel One, Starwind, and Veeam is preferred.
- Knowledge of Azure cloud solutions, data center colocation environments, replication, backup systems, and disaster recovery strategies is a plus.
- Understanding of IT security tools and methodologies, including Anti-Virus, Spam, and Phishing prevention applications, is preferred.
- Awareness of regulatory standards such as HIPAA, PCI, ITAR, CMMC, and NIST 800-171 is beneficial.
- Ability to present solutions to non-technical team members and customers.
