The Manufacturing Engineer works with customer experience, quality and operations teams to provide the required designs and documentation for production. Applies engineering design knowledge to create the necessary drawings, works with the quality department to develop control plans and works with the operations team to create set-up and work instructions. Utilizes problem solving methodology to identify root causes of product application / quality problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Leadership Competencies
New Product Development
- Creates engineering designs utilizing established standards and makes modifications when necessary to meet customer application requirements.
- Prepares proposal drawings, customer drawings and production drawings per company engineering standards using Solid Works.
- New part onboarding.
- Setup and updates BOMs, routers, part revision changes, and cycle times.

Qualifications
Education, Licenses / Certifications and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from a college, university, or technical school and / or 5 years of experience in lean manufacturing or process improvements; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with pressure situations and how to handle them in a professional business manner required. GSS experience a plus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While out on the production floor, the employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed boots with metatarsals, and / or gloves when handling material or chemicals.
