Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Leadership Competencies
The Quality Technician utilizes knowledge of blueprints, schematics, and instructions to ensure that all items are designed and built correctly. Must be able to understand and interpret Geometrical Dimensions & Tolerance (GD&T).
Execution of Quality Responsibilities
Update inspection plans for production based off the print and customer requirements.
Complete first part inspections, in-process and final part dock audits.
Measures and collects data for PPAP documentation (ISIR's, Control Plans, FMEA's, etc.)
Select and utilize appropriate quality measurement tools and utilize proper inspection techniques to perform dimensional, material, and visual inspection verification of product for compliance to engineering drawings, standards, and customer specifications.
Operate quality measurement devices such as CMM, Romer, and FaroArm.
Monitoring production processes through data collection and analysis.
Assist with standard work development.
Lean Initiatives
Drive, implement, and maintain lean initiatives.
Assist in the identification of cost savings goals.
Maintains Quality Standards
Embraces the Quality Management System in all activities.
Train and coach operators and quality inspectors.
Responsible for maintaining a neat work environment and for conforming to applicable quality standards.
Applies internal quality policies and procedures in support of the Company's mission and customer standards.

Qualifications
Education & Experience :
Associate degree in Engineering or 4 years of related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using CMM, FaroArm, or Romer preferred.
Tech Skills :
Advanced computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Database systems.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet when inside the Quality Office.
The noise level on the production floor is usually moderate. While out on the production floor, the employee will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed boots with metatarsals, and / or gloves when handling material or chemicals.
