Job Description
Superlanet is currently recruiting for a Clinical Informaticist for a healthcare organization in San Diego, CA. This is a direct-hire, hybrid opportunity. The Clinical Informaticist (CI) will play a key role within the informatics department by supporting clinical and business partners. This role involves translating clinical content into applications, supporting workflow analysis, and implementing change management.
Position Details :
Work Hours : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (No on-call or weekends)
Hybrid Work Schedule : In-office required Tuesday-Thursday
Location : San Marcos, CA
Key Responsibilities :
Serve as a bridge between clinical / business partners and the informatics team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across departments.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of Electronic Health Record (EHR) applications and third-party systems, and share this expertise with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
Participate in the design, build, and testing of clinical application components, providing valuable insights to the informatics team.
Collaborate with colleagues to analyze clinical workflows, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to streamline operations.
Contribute to EHR application task forces, system upgrades, release notes review, and user acceptance testing.
Create and maintain training materials, job aids, and workflow documents. Train and support clinical staff on new systems and workflows.
Assist in medium to large-scale projects that align with the department's strategic roadmap, and lead smaller projects as your experience grows.
Familiarity with OCHIN systems and tools, or experience working with OCHIN's EHR solutions, is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience directly supporting EHR applications, or 2 years of super user / training support with 2 years of direct patient care experience.
Familiarity with healthcare workflows, project management, HIPAA Privacy regulations, and various learning methodologies.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-conferencing tools.
Preferred Qualifications :
Healthcare licensure (RN, LVN, RT) preferred.
Master's degree is a plus.
Experience with project management is a plus.
Prior experience as an analyst / informaticist during EHR implementations or system upgrades is highly desirable.
