What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator Level II position at Superlative Technologies?
Superlative Technologies, Inc. (SuprTEK) is seeking candidates for a System Administrator position supporting Defense Health Agency at Ft. Eisenhower. As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with Government Support staff to execute system backup and restoration operations. You will develop, maintain, and utilize documented Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) aligned with ITIL and industry best practices to meet application/system owner requirements. This role will be a Full-Time onsite position at Ft. Eisenhower.
Responsibilities:
- Create, administer, and support custom web and scripting applications using platforms including, but not limited to: SharePoint, .ASP, .NET, and/or JAVA.
- Install and configure SharePoint server/websites.
- Install and configure service applications.
- Configure, manage and maintain managed accounts.
- Configure SharePoint service accounts.
- Backup and restore SharePoint database.
- Develop and run Powershell or SharePoint management shell scripts.
- Install Microsoft updates for SharePoint.
- Provide content management.
- Troubleshoot SharePoint server and website issues
- Create standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, and knowledge base articles, as necessary to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the infrastructure platforms
- Perform platform maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained
- Administer day-to-day sustainment, integrity, security, and availability of infrastructure platforms.
- Execute capacity analysis, maintain security posture of infrastructure systems, and monitor performance.
- Create standard operating procedures, maintenance guides, configuration items, and knowledge base articles, as necessary to ensure proper documentation is established for the operational upkeep of the infrastructure and system platforms.
- Perform platform maintenance upgrades to ensure a proper security and operational posture is maintained.
- Provide Patch Management including:\Server and workstation OS upgrade/update current version.
- Provide support for Virtual Machines (VM)
- Create, deploy, and report Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Server and workstation application (Med365/M365, Adobe, Java, etc.) upgrade/update
- Testing new image and troubleshooting
- Provide Support for management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
- Support End User Devices (EUD) and servers, as required.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge and expertise in Red Hat Linux OS
- Experience providing support for Virtual Machines (VM)
- Experience executing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance
- Experience providing support for Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Experience providing support for Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager
