[QUALIFICATION]
At least 3 years’ experience in Gourmet cheese market as manager and driving required. Prior experience in a cheese shop, deli, or specialty food retail setting is preferred.
[RESPONSIBILITIES]
- The role of Gourmet Cheese Manager at Food Bazaar involves developing an extensive expertise in cheeses and gourmet products while also identifying opportunities for new product introductions.
- Collaborating closely with the Team Leader to meet targets related to sales, procurement, and workforce management.
- Assisting the Team Leader in various daily operational aspects, encompassing profit optimization, expense monitoring, procurement strategies, merchandising, workforce management, compliance with regulations, and handling assigned special projects.
- Leveraging in-depth knowledge of our gourmet product range to guide customers in selecting and pairing cheeses with wine, beer, and spirits. Additionally, assisting customers in choosing gourmet items for curated gift baskets.
- Staying updated with the latest trends and insights within the gourmet product domain.
- Ensuring proper stock rotation for gourmet items and promptly removing expired products from shelves and displays.
- Embracing Food Bazaar's core values and objectives across all job roles, promoting both national and regional programs and initiatives. Also, upholding compliance with pertinent health and safety regulations, including fulfilling Food Safety and other regulatory responsibilities specific to the department.
- Provide cheese employee recommendations, tastings, and education on cheese varieties, pairings, and proper storage
- Maintain high-quality product presentation, ensuring proper labeling, pricing, and merchandising of cheeses
- Manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and coordinate orders to prevent shortages or excess
- Handle, cut, wrap, and store cheeses according to food safety standards.
- Train and assist team members in cheese handling and customer engagement
- Stay updated on cheese trends, new products, and supplier offerings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
