Summary/Objective:
We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team! The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain heavy trucks, assorted loaders and equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Repair Ready Mix Concrete Trucks, Block Trucks, Heavy Equipment and other motor vehicles as needed.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance of equipment during machine service.
- Perform simple mechanic duties and responsibilities.
- Perform routine vehicle/equipment maintenance
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle/equipment components
- Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle/equipment to the company operations
- Provide daily written reports of services/repairs performed
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations, maintain work area safe, clean and orderly work areas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a truck mechanic; ASE certifications preferred but not required. Must have own tools.
- Working knowledge of specialized tooling and shop equipment. Some welding experience.
- Working knowledge of vehicle hydraulics, electrical systems, engine, transmission, drive axles and brakes.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Self-starter able to work with others or by themselves.
- Be able to complete tasks within specific deadlines and be detail-oriented.
