Job Description

As a Solutions Design Practice Manager for DHL Supply Chain, you will lead a team of Solutions Designers to provide innovative and cost-effective supply chain solutions to our clients. You will collaborate with sales, operations, and other stakeholders to develop and deliver high-quality solutions that meet or exceed our clients' expectations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing best practices in solution design, managing team resources, and ensuring continuous improvement in our solutions design process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Solutions Designers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support their professional growth and development.
• Develop and implement best practices in solutions design to ensure the highest quality and consistency in our solutions offerings.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to identify and understand clients' needs and develop innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions that meet or exceed their expectations.
• Conduct feasibility studies, network designs, cost analyses, and other activities required to develop and deliver solutions that are operationally sound and financially viable.
• Participate in client presentations, providing subject matter expertise on supply chain solutions and explaining the benefits of our solutions.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, operations, and other teams, to ensure effective communication, collaboration, and alignment.
• Track and report on key performance indicators, including project timelines, costs, and client satisfaction, and continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that our solutions are innovative and future-proof.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related field, required
• At least 7 years of experience in supply chain management or logistics, with a focus on solutions design and development, required
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to support professional growth and development.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct feasibility studies, cost analyses, and other activities required to develop and deliver solutions that are operationally sound and financially viable.
• Proficiency in supply chain modeling and simulation software, such as Llamasoft or AnyLogic, is a plus.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in supply chain management, including Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
