Adventist Healthcare seeks to hire an experienced Surgical Scheduler for the Patient Financial Advisor Department, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Surgical Scheduler, you will: • Monitor in-bound fax and email traffic following through with scheduling tasks such as booking various department as needed • Retrieve Voicemails from Live Vox three times a day • Function as a Scheduler during lunches and staffing shortages • Assist Benefits Specialist with insurance verification and obtaining pre-authorizations as needed for cases booked greater than 48hrs. prior to appointment date and time. • Assist Schedulers with insurance verification and obtaining pre-authorizations for cases booked less than 48hrs. prior to the appointment date and time. • Other duties as assigned Qualifications include: • High School Diploma or GED required • Two years of Medical Scheduling, Insurance Coverage and Benefits or Patient Access experience. • Strong customer service skills, critical thinking and analytical skills, proven ability to communicate with others in a positive manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Bi-lingual a plus Work Schedule: Day Shift HYBRID Hours: Mon - Thurs 8:00 am - 4:45 pm and Fri 8:00 am - 3:30 pm #GR8 Accounting & Finance Pay Range: $18.55 - $26.42 In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
