JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources Specialist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department

including enforcing company policies and practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain and consolidate employee files / reports needed for manpower planning and business continue

initiatives.

  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not
  • limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations;
  • performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and

    safety; and training and development.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex
  • and / or sensitive matters to the appropriate department or manager.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Prepare periodic management reports related to human resources and other reports that may be required
  • by management.

  • Perform other assignments from time to time as directed by management.
  • Perform administrative duties as necessary i.e., making copies, filing, etc.
  • Gather and consolidates performance review ratings of assigned business operational units.
  • Maintain employee records.
  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    Education and

    Experience

  • High School graduate, or equivalent. Associate degree related to Business Administration or Human Resources is preferred, but not required.
  • At least three (3) years of human resource management experience preferred.
