What are the responsibilities and job description for the One On One Mentor position at Support Incorporated?
Support, Inc. needs dependable one-on-one workers to assist within the school setting to ensure that students with special needs are as successful as possible during the 2024-2025 school year. This position is typical school hours Monday-Friday only. You will be out for all GCS holidays, teacher work days and summer breaks as well.
Staff may be asked to assist with behaviors, assist a student with physical disabilities, assist with students with autism or down syndrome, keep student on task, assist with coping skills, etc. (job responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the student.)
This position is part of the IDD Department at Support, Inc. You can check out our website at www.supportinc.org. Minimum educational requirement is a high school degree. A prelimary screening will be conducted with Special Needs Coordinator and if deemed a good fit a follow up interview scheduled with Gaston County School staff. Pay range starts at $14 per hour.
