Position Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Nurse Educator to teach medication certification classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively communicate complex information to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver medication certification training programs for healthcare professionals.
- Utilize instructional materials, including presentations, handouts, and assessments.
- Provide hands-on training and supervision during medication administration labs.
- Evaluate and assess student performance, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Stay updated on the latest best practices and regulations in medication administration.
- Collaborate with the Head of Nurse Education to ensure uniform systems and processes throughout all divisions.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and certification status.
Qualifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a setting involving medication administration.
- Previous teaching or educational experience, either formal or informal, is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with current medication administration guidelines and regulations.
