Key Responsibilities:
- Treat all clients, referral sources, stakeholders, and team members with dignity and respect.
- Adhere to confidentiality, CARF, and contractual standards during service provision.
- Compile and review vocational, medical, psychological, and educational information to assist clients with individualized career planning.
- Conduct orientation for clients to explain services and discuss their rights and responsibilities.
- Assist clients with job seeking and retention skills through interviews and vocational counseling.
- Create employer relationships and advocate for clients with employers and referral sources.
- Educate employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities and facilitate job accommodations.
- Maintain frequent contact with referral sources to discuss shared clients and identify potential referrals.
- Report job development outcomes and relevant information to the supervisor regularly.
- Travel extensively to conduct job development and support, including transporting clients.
- Provide on-site or off-site job supports for clients as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Leadership.
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent certificate is required; an associate’s or bachelor's degree in an applicable field from an accredited institution is preferred.
- At least one year of experience providing employment services.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of how to support individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment.
- Knowledgeable about case management and rehabilitation methods related to mental health and substance use disorders.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for producing clear and concise reports.
- Proficiency in computer knowledge, including Word, Excel, internet platforms, and other electronic media.
Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
- Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
