Job Title: Work Site Support Specialist

Job Summary:
As the Work Site Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a work-based learning experience in a competitive integrated setting for eligible VR clients who are enrolled in high school. Your role involves facilitating on-site support and leading classroom discussions using ODEP’s soft skills curriculum to develop employability skills in a real work environment. You will complete necessary plans, reports, and paperwork as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate students’ work-based learning experiences within the Pre-Employment Training - Work Experience Program with VR.
- Facilitate on-site support for students working a total of 16 hours at the identified worksite(s) over the course of four days each week, targeting 4 hours worked per day.
- Incorporate four hours of soft skills training per week and review/discuss on-site experiences during each 20-hour week of the program.
- Support students on the worksite by facilitating their full integration into the workplace and serve as a mediator between co-workers and supervisors as necessary.
- Prepare plans, reports, and other paperwork as needed.
- Obtain information about students through the intake process, including meetings with students and their families, VR Counselors, and school personnel to understand their strengths, skills, capacities, needs, and vocational interests.
- Coordinate students’ new hire paperwork, orientation, and weekly timesheets.
- Transport students to and from the worksite as needed.
- Report worksite outcomes and other relevant information regarding student progress/activity to Leadership and/or referral sources as required.

Experience and Education Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferably has experience in employment services, job coaching, business, sales, human resources, or human services.
Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
- All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Must have and maintain certification in CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens.
