Horticultural Program Coordinator Location: Avon, CT Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm
The Supported Living Group is excited to grow our horticultural program and is seeking a dedicated, hands-on individual to lead the way!
We're looking for someone with practical horticultural experience, strong project management skills, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to create and lead engaging, therapeutic gardening activities that promote wellness, independence, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and oversee horticultural projects, gardens, and related activities Work one-on-one and in small groups with program participants Foster a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for individuals with acquired brain injuries Collaborate with community partners and integrate sustainable practices
Ideal Candidate: Hands-on experience in gardening, farming, or horticulture Strong organizational and project leadership abilities Compassionate and patient with a background or interest in supporting individuals with disabilities
