Memo from the Indiana Medicaid Waiver on how solicitation IS ALLOWED:
“Oftentimes, an individual will work for a Medicaid waiver service provider or care management company, then go on to start their own company or move to a new provider/care management agency. In the window of time where they are starting their own company or transferring employment, they are allowed to tell their clients they are starting their own company or transferring employment, and that the client must switch to their new company if they would like to maintain the same personnel serving them. The new business owner will appear on the picklist (generated from CaMSS) when they are approved as a provider, and at that point, Medicaid waiver participants may choose to work with them. “
Required: master’s degree in psychology, social work, applied behavior analysis, counseling, education, or related field (460 IAC 6-5-4).
