Description
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist occupational therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients with physical, emotional, or developmental impairments.
Work under the supervision of occupational therapists to implement treatment plans for patients - Help patients with exercises and activities that improve their ability to perform daily tasks - Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions - Collaborate with occupational therapists to modify treatment plans as needed - Educate patients and their families on techniques for continued improvement.
Qualifications
Education and Licensure
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Experience & Requirements
Current and valid Driver's license
Current and valid Auto Insurance
Current and valid CPR certification
Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Experience with EMR (electronic medical record) preferred

Observation/Assessment: Proficient in keenly observing patient conditions and adept at providing timely and accurate reports to relevant personnel
Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Demonstrates excellent communication abilities with the care team and patients/caregivers, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
Critical Thinking: Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess situations and make informed decisions
Self-Motivated: Initiates tasks independently as a highly motivated self-starter, contributing proactively to the team's success.
Time Management: Displays effective time management skills, optimizing productivity and meeting deadlines efficiently.
