What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Delegator position at Supportive Living NW?
The RN Delegator at Supportive Living NW (“SLNW” or the “Company”) is responsible for assessing, delegating, and supervising nursing tasks to qualified staff in accordance with Washington State Nurse Delegation laws. This role ensures that clients receive safe and effective care while supporting staff in their delegated responsibilities. This position is part-time (15-20 hours/week) and requires travel throughout King and Pierce County. Our physical office is located in Federal Way.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct client assessments to determine eligibility for nurse delegation.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on delegation needs.
- Train and delegate appropriate nursing tasks to qualified staff, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Perform competency evaluations and ongoing supervision of delegated tasks.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of delegation activities.
- Provide ongoing support and education to staff regarding delegated tasks.
- Communicate with clients, families, staff, and agency staff to ensure quality care.
- Ensure compliance with Washington State regulations, including RCW 18.79.260 and WAC 246-840-910 through 970.
- Report changes in client conditions and adjusts delegation plans as necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to improve delegation processes.

- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices.

- Proficiency in healthcare software applications and electronic records.

- Ability to pass a background check
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in home health, in-home care services, or a similar field
- Proof of Nurse Delegation for Registered Nurses and Diabetes Nurse Delegation Training certificates
- Valid Driver’s License, Clean Driving Record, and Auto Insurance
