POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Quality Control Lab Technician is responsible for testing samples in the lab, verifying instrument calibrations, collecting environmental samples, and other assignments as needed.

The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs on a regular basis. Work safely with chemicals with reasonable safety accommodations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Mainly manufacturing environment which may include standing, sitting, bending, twisting, walking, climbing stairs, strong odors. Confined spaces, warm and cold temperatures, wet/slippery and slick surfaces. Overtime may be required based on manufacturing needs.

- Perform physical testing of raw materials and finished products.
- Perform calibration and verification of lab equipment.
- Collect environmental samples throughout manufacturing.
- Maintain records and charts of environmental testing.
- Any other duties and/or assigned responsibilities.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year experience in quality in a manufacturing environment, nutritional or dietary supplements.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to understand and follow GMPs, SOPs and GLPs.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Knowledge of MS office, excel and word.
- Experience within manufacturing process a plus.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Ensure quality at each task, and maintain proficiency for meeting deadlines.
