Job Duties
The Orders-Admissions Clerk I is responsible for assisting the Clerk with Full Court orders, mandates, and bills of costs; drafting, proofreading, and distributing orders of the Court; maintaining the Court’s Order Books; processing Court filings and data entry into the Court’s case management system; organizing petitions for rehearing for Court review; drafting and sending correspondence; contacting circuit courts, prisons/jails, and other state agencies for information regarding pending cases; assisting the Court in organizing the admissions ceremony for newly qualified attorneys; transcribing special sessions of Court for publication; and miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities –
Must have excellent proofreading and organizational skills to perform job duties.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe. Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, be able to work independently and accurately, and be able to prioritize and timely complete numerous tasks.
Additional Considerations
Most competitive applicants will have 7-10 years of experience in a legal or court setting and a bachelor’s degree/paralegal certification is preferred.
