Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Roller Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to perform tasks related to paving and finishing concrete surfaces. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Roller Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality results on various construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate roller equipment for compacting soil, asphalt, and other materials during construction projects.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure proper paving and finishing of concrete surfaces.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of job sites, including the movement of materials and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members regarding project progress and any issues that arise.
Experience
- Previous experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred, particularly with roller machinery.
- Familiarity with concrete pumping, concrete mixing, and concrete finishing techniques is advantageous.
- Experience in commercial driving or loader operation is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Ability to dig, build, and pave effectively while adhering to project specifications and timelines.
