Overview
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing and related construction activities. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing concrete surfaces, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for concrete pouring by cleaning and leveling areas.
- Operate concrete mixers and other heavy equipment as needed.
- Finish concrete surfaces using various tools and techniques to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Lay flooring, tile, or plaster as part of the finishing process.
- Restore existing concrete surfaces through repair techniques.
- Read and interpret schematics to accurately follow project specifications.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively during the finishing process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with flooring installation, plastering, tile laying, hardscape, and metal stud framing is preferred.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of construction safety practices and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
