Our company is seeking a personal care assistant to work in an assisted living home environment. This position involves regular direct contact with residents and staff, and the successful candidate will enjoy long-term employment working alongside a dedicated team of professionals. We are looking for a Personal Care Assistant who is comfortable working in close proximity to others and assisting with various personal care tasks on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Take care of an elderly patient's personal hygiene and grooming needs.
- Assist in eating and drinking.
- Provide general companionship to the patient.
- Provide physical care such as bathing, dressing, skin care and toileting assistance.
- Maintain current knowledge of elder care.
- Respond appropriately to challenging behavior.
