What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Trainer (Associate Trainer) position at Supreme K9?
Supreme K9 Training is seeking an Associate Dog Trainer with professional dog training experience. Candidates must have prior experience working directly with dog owners in a private setting and teaching group classes. Please do not apply if you don't have professional experience.
Responsibilities:
- Training dogs (individually and as a group) Monday through Thursday and Sunday
- Educate and work with dog owners in hands-on 1-on-1 Private Lessons
- Assist with occasional company events
- Client education and promotion of merchandise, fundraisers, and other services
- Basic office tasks like phone calls and emails may also be required.
- Assist in cleaning tasks (vacuum & mop training floor, wash bowls, etc)
Qualifications/Characteristics:
- One year of professional dog training experience
- Balanced dog training philosophy
- Experience with or willingness to learn to use prong collars & electronic collars
- Reliable transportation
- Punctuality - habitually arrives 10-15 before shift beginning
- Patience
- Self-starter
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be on feet for a full day
- Flexible with working days & hours
Hours:
- Be available - 7AM to 7:30PM Monday through Thursday (exact hours will vary) and 10 AM to 6 PM on either Saturday OR Sunday.
