Position Details :
Job Title : Quality Engineer Department : Quality Pay Scale : $29 / hr to $34 / hr Duration : 3 / 1 / 25 – 5 / 1 / 25 (2-3 month assignment) Work Schedule : Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm Position Scope :
Analyze battery inventory to ID & prioritize product for testing Maintain the lab equipment and staffing levels to meet desired customer needs Schedule the inventory moves and lab priorities Quality Engineer will be Customer focus and Quality minded Develop & revise Quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions & other quality documents. Maintain database of sample measurements and data collections Develop inventory tracking & decision tree for disposition Lead and attend meetings with upper management to provide updates as needed / requested Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, inventory, etc… to establish specs and controls for certain inventory items Occasionally serve as a technical resource to troubleshoot problems. Create, monitor and closeout NCMR, SCAR, and 8D reports Stay current on battery regulations, technology, and safety practices. Point of contact in the DC for battery and other tightly controlled products Follow and participate in all safety procedures / initiatives Education and Experience Requirements
Ability to work with large amounts of data using- Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc Oversee a small team of Techs & Contract labor Familiarity with electronics and data software desirable Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) Ability to interpret written test methods / procedures and complete controlled experiments Utilizing exploded diagrams and blueprints Ability to work under reduced supervision Must be self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word. PowerPoint and Outlook Desired : Knowledge of basic metrology methods and equipment Knowledge of warehouse management systems Experience with Lithium Ion battery charging system methods and test environments.
