Our client, a leading packaging company, is seeking a reliable Warehouse Specialist with expertise in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
The ideal candidate will ensure smooth warehouse operations by verifying all incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and collaborating with other departments to meet delivery timelines efficiently.
Responsibilities :
- Manage all shipping and receiving processes, ensuring the accuracy of quantities and products.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damages or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Coordinate with carriers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including packing slips and invoices.
- Track inventory levels to prevent shortages and assist with regular cycle counts.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment to move, load, and unload materials safely.
- Collaborate with other teams to fulfill customer orders and meet operational deadlines.
Qualifications :
- 2 years of experience in warehouse operations with a focus on shipping and receiving.
- Familiarity with warehouse management software (WMS) and inventory tracking systems.
- Strong attention to detail to verify shipments and inventory accuracy.
- Solid understanding of safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed (up to 50 lbs).
- Problem-solving mindset to handle unexpected issues in the shipping process effectively.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other material-handling equipment is a plus.
