Job Summary:
As Site Superintendent, you're the captain of the ship from project kickoff to client handover. You'll orchestrate and delegate all on-site tasks, acting as the central hub of communication for everyone involved – from laborers and tradespeople to vendors and suppliers. Your daily responsibilities encompass a wide range, including scheduling, verifying and adjusting the project scope, allocating resources, ensuring quality control, and fostering a positive and productive work environment (this includes maintaining a healthy dynamic of all personalities involved on site). You'll keep the Project Manager and General Contractor informed with weekly progress reports, detailing job expenses, challenges, and any new developments. It's crucial to identify and resolve any obstacles efficiently, always upholding Supro's standards of quality, integrity, and craftsmanship. You must verify that quality relentlessly throughout all stages of a project. Ultimately, you're responsible for getting the job done, and that means there is no job above or beneath the site superintendent.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to Supro extremely high quality standards, project schedules and deadlines.
- Manage site operations, including supervising staff and subcontractors to ensure quality control and compliance with the architectural, structural and design teams drawings/specifications.
- Read and interpret drawings to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure Supro’s quality standards are met.
- Implement OSHA safety regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Utilize project scheduling tools (Buildertrend) to track progress and adjust timelines as necessary.
- Coordinate with contractors regarding contracts, changes, and any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily logs and weekly expense reports in Buildertrend.
Qualifications
Construction professional with 5-10 years of experience in large-scale residential projects. Expertise in managing all project phases from pre construction to completion, with a strong focus on budget control, scheduling, team leadership, and details. Skilled in BuilderTrend software and possesses a comprehensive understanding of building systems, codes, and safety regulations. Excellent communicator and negotiator, adept at resolving conflicts and delivering projects on time and within budget. Committed to OSHA standards and possesses strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Background check required.
