Key Responsibilities
- Crane Operation:
- Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, position, and reposition loads as required.
- Interpret and follow lift plans, load charts, and hand signals from the rigging crew.
- Demonstrate proficiency in crane operation through practical examinations.
- Safety Compliance:
- Perform daily equipment inspections to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Comply with all safety guidelines, including OSHA regulations and Sure Steel, Inc. policies.
- Adhere to Sure Steel, Inc.’s Substance Abuse Policy.
- Load Management:
- Coordinate with the rigging crew to safely and efficiently execute lifting operations.
- Maintain clear communication with the site supervisor and other team members regarding load management.
- Document and report any issues related to load handling and lifting.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain clear communication with the site supervisor and other team members.
- Use appropriate hand signals and radio communication to coordinate crane movements.
