Position Overview

The Vacation Relief/Cleaner will play a critical role in supporting the company by covering for team members on vacation, supervising janitorial staff, and performing regular cleaning inspections to ensure quality standards. This individual will report to the Operations Manager and owners, starting their shift from the office and utilizing a company-provided vehicle and cell phone for job responsibilities. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English and Spanish), flexible, dependable, and proficient with computers.

Responsibilities

• Vacation Relief Duties
• Cover janitorial shifts, including night shifts and weekends, as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing to meet company standards.
• Supervisory-Cleaner Duties
• Oversee cleaning staff to ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
• Provide training and support to team members as needed.
• Monitor performance and report issues to the Operations Manager.
• Cleaning Inspections
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure cleaning tasks meet company and client standards.
• Document inspection results and address any issues or deficiencies with staff.
• Administrative Tasks
• Use computers to track schedules, communicate with team members, and maintain logs.
• Assist with inventory tracking and ordering supplies when necessary.
• Flexibility and Availability
• Be flexible with scheduling, including willingness to work nights and every other weekend.
• Respond promptly to last-minute schedule changes or staffing needs.
• Communication and Reporting
• Communicate effectively with staff, the Operations Manager, and owners.
• Report issues, incidents, or equipment concerns in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Required Skills and Experience
• Bilingual: Must speak and write fluently in English and Spanish.
• Proficient with computers, including email and basic software programs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Other Requirements
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Flexibility with work schedule, including nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
• Experience in commercial janitorial or cleaning services preferred but not required.
