Responsibilities:
As a Security Officer at Surefire Security, you will be responsible for:
- Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct routine patrols of the assigned premises, monitoring for any suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Access Control: Verify the identity and credentials of individuals entering the secured area, ensuring only authorized personnel gain access.
- Emergency Response: Act swiftly and effectively in response to emergencies, including alarms, fires, medical incidents, and disturbances, and report incidents to the appropriate authorities.
- Report Writing: Maintain accurate and detailed logs and incident reports, documenting all security-related activities.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Security Equipment: Operate and maintain security equipment, including CCTV systems, alarms, and communication devices.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities, and make recommendations for improving security protocols.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure seamless security operations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED: A minimum educational requirement.
- California Guard Card: Must have a valid California Guard Card or be willing to obtain one before starting employment.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain accurate records.
- Professionalism: Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift and carry objects.
- Security Experience: Previous security experience is a plus, but not required. We provide comprehensive training to all employees.
- CPR/First Aid Certification: CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Legal Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a comprehensive background check.
