What are the responsibilities and job description for the Meat Trimmer position at SURESTAFF LLC?
Monday-Friday
- Handle raw material by taking it out of box or combo bin to begin preparation.
- Using a knife, trim the excess meat, joints, and cartilage per the product specification requirement is met.
- Place the trimmed raw material as directed for cooking process.
- Reads job specifications and previous run data (if available) to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
- Observes machine operation to detect piece defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification product.
- Position will entail standing for long periods of the day and lifting up to 50 pounds during shift.
- Previous experience in food production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating.
- Flexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed.
- Experience reading and interpreting production specifications.
- Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment. (35-40 degrees)
