SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for an experienced Production Supervisor for a client in Elgin, IL

This position will supervise, mentor, and develop a team of production associates to ensure that production deadlines are met efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will enjoy mentoring others and have a proactive, problem-solving mentality. Demonstrated leadership abilities is a must!

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! This is a direct hire position paying $20-$27 / hr. as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include :

Night Shift 5 pm -5 am on a rotating schedule.

Overtime is available on a first-come, first serve basis.

Responsibilities and Job Functions :

• Must be Customer Focused (internal / external) and possess the skills, abilities, and desire to excel in a Team Based, Quality Driven environment dedicated to Employee Involvement and Continuous Improvement.
• As a member of the Leadership Team, must set an example of leadership, personal conduct, interpersonal behavior, attire (appropriate for the job) & hygiene.
• Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan daily department or cell operations as required.
• Coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meets specifications.
• Verifies machine setup, start up and conformance of product to applicable specifications of 1st piece parts before production is released.
• Monitors work activities and reviews production and operating reports / documentation to resolve operational, manufacturing, set-up, quality, safety and maintenance issues in a timely fashion.
• Confers with maintenance personnel to identify mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Inspects machines and equipment to ensure operational performance and optimum utilization.
• Develops or revises work procedures, standard operational and working practices or instructions, quality procedure checklists as needed and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintains records and verifies the accuracy of all documentation generated by department or cell personnel.
• Educate, Train and Promote (EMS) ISO-14001 Environmental Management System
• Directly supervises employees in the Molding Department (Shift / Cell).
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Promotes open communication at all levels of the organization and between departments.
• Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to management for action.
• Schedules and directs the work of employees involved in set-up and operation of injection molding, secondary & auxiliary equipment including material handling, inspection, safety, housekeeping, maintenance, IATF 16949 Procedures & Work Instructions where applicable.
• Responsible for insuring that employees are trained and adhere to all operational, quality, safety, security and housekeeping procedures.
