Inventory Leader

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring an Inventory leader for a large, well-known client in Pleasant Prairie, IL. The Inventory leader will serve as a key materials and inventory expert to ensure effective material movements and inventory controls.
This role will be essential in facilitating and conducting the accurate movement and storage of various raw materials and finished goods materials through the manufacturing plant. The Inventory Leader will partner with Warehouse and Production leadership to ensure the proper usage of allocated raw materials and accurate transaction and storage of finished goods.

Available Shifts: 1st Shift Monday - Friday
10 hours shift 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
12 hours shift 6:00 am - 6:30 pm
Responsibilities of the Inventory Leader:

• Experience or trainability to perform various roles in the operation.
• Basic math skills to complete calculation and measurements.
• Intermediate computer skills to input data / interface with internal ERP system (IQMS)
• Conduct resin verification checks to monitor real-time resin material accuracy to applicable extrusion equipment.
• Align with Inventory Coordinator, Materials Manager and suppliers to schedule, swap and maintain continuous influx of raw materials and packaging supplies to facility.
• Delegate to and assist Inventory Coordinator the swapping of railcar compartments as needed to ensure the extrusion equipment is consistently replenished with resin material to support a 24/7 extrusion operation. Work with Maintenance dept. to communicate any preventative maintenance tasks, equipment failure or mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• Conduct monthly WIP inventory reconciliation and report discrepancies to Warehouse leadership.
• Participate and support the internal team compliance of established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), ISO regulations, HACCP, and Food Safety standards.
• Reduce materials scrap loss through managing of consumption and escalating to leadership when there are problems that increase scrap or scrap potential.
• Promote and actively engage in continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing environment, working with the CI leader on potential improvements.
• Resolve or escalate computer equipment or IT related issues on the production floor.

Required Qualifications of the Inventory Leader:

• Bilingual English and Spanish
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify patterns and trends in inventory data.
• Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
