Automation / Controls Technician / Installer
Our client is seeking an experienced Automation / Controls Technician / Installer to support Building Automation System (BAS) installations. This role will involve mounting control components, installing low voltage wiring, performing terminations, conducting system start-ups, and troubleshooting systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with building automation systems, possess a CT E2 or L6 License, and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality installations and service.
Key Responsibilities :
- BAS Installation : Mount and install control components, including sensors, thermostats, and controllers, as part of Building Automation System (BAS) installations.Install conduit, low voltage wiring, and perform terminations in accordance with project specifications.
- System Start-Up and Checkout : Conduct system start-ups, verifying proper functioning and calibration of all components.Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance : Diagnose and repair issues with BAS components, wiring, and controls.Respond promptly to service calls for troubleshooting and system repairs.
- Collaboration and Communication : Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate installations.Communicate with clients and provide status updates on project progress.
- Compliance and Safety : Ensure installations comply with local codes and regulations, particularly electrical codes.Follow all safety protocols during installations, testing, and troubleshooting.
