San Francisco, CA (Hybrid, 3 days a week) | $120k – $250k base equity (dependent on experience)

A rapidly growing AI-driven eCommerce platform is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale its automation tools for performance marketing. With over 1,000 paying customers in just six months and backing from top investors like Figma, Y Combinator, and General Catalyst, the company is poised for significant expansion.

Responsibilities :

Build, maintain, and scale core product features and services for the company’s eCommerce automation platform.

Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to launch new 0→1 products.

Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.

Optimize backend services with distributed systems such as Kafka and Clickhouse.

Contribute to software architecture decisions, improve engineering processes, and enhance system performance.

Write robust documentation to support long-term maintainability.

Requirements :

3 years of full-stack engineering experience (5 years if backend-focused).

Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and experience with Kafka / Clickhouse or other distributed systems.

Background in building products from scratch with a strong product / customer focus.

Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments (preferably Series A or earlier startups).

CS degree or equivalent from a top university.

Strong opinions on deployment and maintenance, with experience addressing common pitfalls.

Preferred Qualifications :

Previous experience as a founder or early-stage startup engineer.

Participation in hackathons or a passion for rapid prototyping.

Strong eye for visual design or experience with design tools like Figma.
