What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trust Administration Paralegal position at Surf Search Inc?
Description
Assist attorneys with all aspects of trust administration, ensuring compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
Prepare trust administration documents, including certifications of trust, trustee notifications, and affidavits.
Handle real property transfers, including grant deeds, affidavits, and related assessor forms.
Coordinate with trustees, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and other professionals throughout the trust administration process.
Prepare estate valuation reports, asset inventories, and trust funding documentation.
Assist with trust distributions, including preparing distribution summaries, waivers, and receipts.
Draft and file probate-related documents as needed.
Maintain accurate client records, case notes, and deadlines in legal case management software.
Provide administrative support, including scanning, filing, and organizing trust administration documents.
Attend regular team meetings and participate in ongoing legal education.
Qualifications
Paralegal Certificate required.
Minimum of three years of trust administration experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, and related legal procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
California Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain.
